42-46 Rue Jolie, is situated opposite the Recreation Ground in Rue Brittain. Because of the synthetic surface the green is of fairly even temperament and ordinary walking shoes are ok for playing. No sharp heels please. A $5 green fee per person is sufficient to allow for full game. Bowls are available for those who have none with them and are in crates inside the second door from the entrance. Mats, jacks and score boards in there too. Corporate or social groups catered for by arrangement.
Ph Melva Parke 03 304 7209. Melva is the contact for the Bowling Club bookings for venue hire. It is fresh and new, and has a fabulous view to the sea on one side, bowling green on the other.
They have approx 55 chairs, and 7 circular tables.
Located in the sports area adjacent to the tennis courts, and on the seaward side of the car park behind the Grand Hotel. The club comprises of two full size croquet lawns, has its own club rooms and welcomes visitors from other croquet clubs either within New Zealand or from overseas. For visitors we offer playing equipment and have a green fee charge of $8.00 for a full days play. Contact Evelyn Oliver (Secretary) on 304 5040 if you would like to play.
Akaroa Bridge Club has 60 members who play mixed grade on Monday nights 7.30pm at the Akaroa Golf Club, Pawsons Valley Road, Duvauchelle. Table fee is $5 per person ($1 is a donation to the Akaroa Health Hub). Play usually finishes about 10.30pm. Visitors are welcome. Partners may be found for those who need one. Please contact the partner finder on the website.

Stanley Park is a large recreation reserve in the heart of Akaroa on Banks Peninsula, featuring a mixture of open grassland and naturally regenerating kanuka forest.
The Akaroa Recreation Ground is a large sporting complex consisting of outdoor grounds and an indoor facility.
This bush-clad tranquil reserve in Akaroa is home to the oldest cemetery in the South Island, dating back to 1840.
Hinewai is an ecological restoration project on Banks Peninsula, privately owned and managed by the Maurice White Native Forest Trust, but freely open the public on foot.
'Put your roots down in Akaroa, plant a tree!.' The Akaroa Heritage Park is accessible from Long Bay Road or on foot via Woodill's Track. Since it was established in 1992, over 1000 native trees have been planted by individual tree enthusiasts.
